Hi math gurus! I am about two weeks through the semester, and getting a bit worried about my course work. I just don’t seem to understand the stuff I am learning, especially things to do with simultaneous equations with 4 unknowns. Could somebody out there please explain to me with absolute values, point-slope and side-side-side similarity. I can’t afford to hire a tutor, but if anyone knows about other ways of improving topics like simplifying expressions or graphing lines without fuss, please drop me a line Thanks

Although I understand what your situation is, but if you could explain in greater detail the areas in which you are facing struggling, then I might be in a better position to guide you. Anyhow I have some advice for you, try Algebrator. It can solve a wide range of questions, and it can do so within minutes. And that’s not it, it also gives a detailed step-by-step description of how it arrived at a particular answer. That way you don’t just find a solution to your problem but also get to understand how to go about solving it. I found this program to be particularly useful for solving questions on simultaneous equations with 4 unknowns. But that’s just my experience, I’m sure it’ll be good no matter what the topic is.

I agree, a good program can do miracles . I used a few but Algebrator is the best. It doesn't matter what class you are in, I myself used it in Basic Math and Algebra 1 as well, so you don't have to be concerned that it's not on your level. If you never had a software before I can assure you it's not complicated, you don't have to know anything about the computer to use it. You just have to type in the keywords of the exercise, and then the software solves it step by step, so you get more than just the answer.

http://www.mathmusic.org/building-up-the-denominator.html and http://www.mathmusic.org/finding-logarithms.html are a couple of good resources that offer the Algebrator. But, before placing the order, understand what it offers and how is it unique by reading the customer reviews online. From my personal experience, I can tell that you can start using Algebrator right away without any assistance since the tool is absolutely easy and very much self- informative.
