Dear Pal, don't get panties in a bunch. Have a look at http://www.mathmusic.org/rules-for-exponents.html, http://www.mathmusic.org/factoring-special-quadratic-polynomials.html and http://www.mathmusic.org/solving-linear-equations.html. There is a utility by name Algebrator offered at all the three sites. This instrument would provide all the details that you would require on the topic Pre Algebra. But, ensure that you read through all the lessons intently.

I must agree that Algebrator is a great thing and the best software of this kind you can find. I was amazed when after weeks of frustration I simply typed in monomials and that was the end of my difficulties with algebra. It's also great that you can use the software for any level: I have been using it for several years now, I used it in Pre Algebra and in Remedial Algebra as well! Just try it and see it for yourself!

I am a regular user of Algebrator. It not only helps me get my assignments faster, the detailed explanations given makes understanding the concepts easier. I strongly recommend using it to help improve problem solving skills.
