You need not worry; this topic seems to be tough because of the many new symbols that it has. Once you learn the concepts, it becomes fun. I fully agree with that. Algebrator has already helped me solving problems on basic probabiity with notation for binomial expansion in the past, and confident that you would like it. I have never been to a high ranking school, but thanks to this software my math problem solving skills are as good as than students studying in one of those fancy schools.

Algebrator is a very incredible software and is surely worth a try. You will find lot of interesting stuff there. I use it as reference software for my math problems and can say that it has made learning math much more fun.
