simplifying expression involving exponents

I'm getting really bored in my math class. It's simplifying expression involving exponents, but we're covering higher grade material. The topics are really complex and that’s why I usually doze off in the class. I like the subject and don’t want to fail, but I have a big problem understanding it. Can someone help me?

I have a good recommendation that could help you with algebra. You simply need a good program to explain the problems that are complicated. You don't need a private teacher, because on one hand it's very costly, and secondly you won't have it near you whenever you need help. A software is better because you only have to buy it once, and it's yours forever. I advice you to try Algebrator, because it's the best. Since it can resolve almost any math problems, you will probably use it for a very long time, just like I did. I got it a long time ago when I was in Algebra 2, but I still use it quite often.

Hey, Algebrator is one awesome thing! I started using it when I was in my college. It’s been years since then, but I still use it frequently. Take my word for it, it will really help you.

Is the software really that helpful? I’m worried because the software might not really help because it only answers the problem per ?e. I like to understand how a problem is solved and not only find out the answer. Nevertheless, could you give me a link for this software?
